With “Top Gun 2: Maverick”, Tom Cruise will provide one of the biggest action highlights of the year in 2022. And that shouldn’t be any different thanks to “Mission: Impossible 7” aka “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1” in 2023…
In the current blockbuster cinema, Tom Cruise stands like no other for handmade and absolutely daring action at its finest. He proves that again this week with “Top Gun 2: Maverick” – and soon with the next installment of the “Mission: Impossible” series. Especially with the newer sequels, she has repeatedly demonstrated that Cruise keeps surpassing herself with increasingly wild stunts and that there is currently hardly anything better in modern action cinema.
And if you now go after the first teaser trailer for “Mission: Impossible 7”, which has the somewhat unwieldy official title “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1”, the new part should actually put a shovel on it again. In any case, we can hardly believe that the video is just a preview of the first part of the two-parter consisting of “Mission: Impossible 7” and “Mission: Impossible 8”, so much is already fired in the two minutes:
Supersion Ethan Hunt (Cruise) along with his cast mates (Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson are back) and adversaries run and shoot their way through breathtaking action scenes in many different locations across the city, the Desert and in the ice – including a train sequence reminiscent of the legendary finale from “Mission: Impossible 1” and crowned by the airy motorcycle jump, which caused a sensation during the filming.
However, it will be a while before we can actually enjoy all of this on the big screen: “Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning Part 1” will be released in cinemas on July 13, 2023, followed by “Mission: Impossible 8 – Dead Reckoning Part 2” on June 27, 2024.
