David Marsais and Grégoire Ludig, the two halves of the inenarable Palmashow, will be two TV stars in their next film “Les Vedettes”. A comedy that arrives in February 2022 and which is revealed in a hilarious trailer.

The Palmashow is back in 2022

We no longer present them, and this is proof of their success! David Marsais and Grégoire Ludig, after making themselves known on the web and then on television with several signed programs Palmashow, are gradually making a good place in French cinema. We saw them play in several comedies, before embarking on a first original creation accompanied by their faithful director Jonathan Barré with The Mad Story of Max and Leon in 2016. They then play under the direction of Alain Chabat for Santa and Co., by Albert Dupontel for Goodbye idiots. Then recently in front of Quentin Dupieux’s camera for Mandibles. A CV that begins to weigh. And who will be enriched with a new line with their new film The stars, announced at the cinema for February 16, 2022 (the trailer above).

Stéphane and Daniel, future television stars

In The stars, we follow Stéphane and Daniel, two salesmen in an appliance store. They don’t get along at all, but Daniel has the crazy idea of forming a duo of participants in game shows. The trailer doesn’t necessarily show more, but it’s suggested in the official synopsis that gaining notoriety is not going to be easy.

“Daniel, a failed singer, will lose his home and his post at the after-sales service of an appliance store. When he discovers that Stéphane, a naive and pretentious colleague, knows the amount of all the devices on the shelves, he decides to use him to participate in the TV game “The Price at Any Price”, win 100,000 € and meet finally under the spotlight. So yes everything opposes them, no it will not be easy, but Daniel and Stéphane are full of resources. “

With their great talent for parody, we can bet that this idea fits them like a glove. Indeed, both children and adolescents of the 90s, they are naturally designated to tell this form of “stardom” that one could acquire by finding “the right price” or by turning “the wheel of fortune”. And as for La Folle Histoire de Max et Léon, the two actors are also in the script. A dive into the France of television games that seems to promise some giggles!
