In his video for the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, our YouTube editor and “Star Wars”-Fan Sebastian especially the mysterious inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram). She is determined to hunt down Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) – and even walks over the dead bodies of her fellow combatants. She kills her own boss, the Grand Inquisitor (Rupert Friend), in cold blood.
But what motivates this Reva? We learn that the other Inquisitors look down on her. and we learn that many of the Inquisitors are former Jedi. But that was probably not exactly what “the Reva coming out of the gutter” was.
We have a theory: At the beginning of the series, we see young padawans training. Included the camera also briefly shows us a young girl who could be Reva. So she has a lower status in the ranks of the Inquisitors because unlike most others she is not a fully trained Jedi.

The fact that she’s not taken seriously could spur her on to prove it to everyone and impress one person in particular: Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen). At least she seems like a bit of a big Vader fan – and what better way to impress him than by bringing him Obi-Wan Kenobi?
But how did she come up with the idea of kidnapping Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) for this? This also leaves Sebastian a little perplexed, because Leia’s existence is supposed to be kept secret. But for the author of these lines, the explanation is laid out in the series: Reva lands a lucky shot. She doesn’t even know how important Leia really is and, above all, who she really is.
It’s no secret that Leia exists. After all, as the daughter of Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits), she takes part in public events, as we also see in the series. She’s being hidden in public right now (unlike Luke).
Reva explains that she saw Obi-Wan’s connection to Organa in the archives – and doesn’t mean the young princess, but Bail Organa. She discovered that the senator and Obi-Wan were close friends. She kidnaps Leia in hopes that Bail Organa will turn to his one-time friend for help. This plan comes true – and she has no idea how valuable her sacrifice is.
There is one simple fact that suggests that Reva has no idea of Leia’s true origins: If she knew that Leia is Darth Vader’s daughter, she would bring the young girl straight to him. Because with that she could surely impress the Sith Lord even more than with a captured Obi-Wan…
It will now be exciting how things will continue not only for Reva, but for all other characters. Where are Obi-Wan and Leia fleeing to now? Sebastian has a theory in his video involving the return of Qi’ra (Emilia Clarke). Including this character would also be fitting in the opinion of the author of these lines, while excluding Han Solo – less because he meets Leia for the first time in “Episode IV”:
As Sebastian rightly argues, he could get to know the child under a false name. No, Solo and Kenobi are clearly meeting each other for the first time in “A New Hope” – and there should be little identity trickery around.
And it might not be the only celebrity return. You’re all waiting for Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) too. The fact that he appears again as a power spirit was teased so clearly in the first two episodes that we’re pretty sure it will come to that.
