Pinocchio is originally a character that first appeared in an Italian weekly newspaper in 1881, where it became so popular that author Carlo Collodi decided to make an entire book out of it. Disney rediscovered the material half a century later and turned it into only his second full-length animated film. 82 years later, its live-action adaptation is released, which uses the same basic character design, just with modern 3D animations surrounded by real actors and scenes.
