Announced a little over a year ago after several years of rumors, Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game has been rather low-key since then. Good news for those interested, or the curious, the new game from the English studio will be talked about very soon. Once is not custom, the new information has been reserved for the virtual event of Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. Games and DC have just released a new illustration of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the next Rocksteady game. This image, available in our gallery below, presents the four protagonists of the game. As mentioned before, these are Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark.
In parallel with the posting of this image, the American publisher has also revealed when new information about the game will be communicated. To learn more about Suicide Squad, we will have to wait for the DC FanDome on October 16. According to Warner, a “more details” presentation of the game will take place on that date starting at 7:00 p.m. KST.
For those who have not followed everything, it is worth remembering a few things about the game. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an open-world Action-Adventure game set in the same universe as the Batman Arkhams. Rocksteady promises a title that emphasizes storytelling while offering third-person shooter mechanics.
Here, the player can play as one of the four villains listed above. If he wishes, he can play alone or go through the adventure with three other human players. When playing alone, his three companions are guided by artificial intelligence.
Suicide Squad, 100% pure Rocksteady game?
As for the adventure setting, Rocksteady has left Gotham City. Indeed, the action takes place here in Metropolis, the city of Superman. Hoping to save Earth, the four supervillains are on a mission to take down the Justice League.
Obviously, the latter is not in its normal state. She found herself under the control of the alien Brainiac. Rocksteady being Rocksteady, it wouldn’t be surprising if the plot offers its fair share of twists.
Regarding the release date of the game, there is a priori no change. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is still slated for 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
What does this Suicide Squad game inspire you so far? Do you plan to give him a chance? Would you have preferred Rocksteady to offer a game closer to what it did on the Arkham series? What do you think of the artistic direction of the game? Tell us all in the comments below.
