As promised, here are the first clips from Netflix’s Resident Evil live-action series. Lance Reddick (The Wire) and Ella Balinska (Forspoken) are part of the trailer.
The Netflix live-action Resident Evil series is taking shape. For better or for worse? You be the judge with this dark, very dark first video teaser.
Netflix teases its Resident Evil series
Lance Reddick (The Wire), who plays Albert Wesker, stars alongside his daughters Jade (Siena Agudong) and Billie (Tamara Smart) in the Netflix series Resident Evil’s first trailer.
A teaser that shows a “New Raccoon City” at its most peaceful and friendly. Before of course jumping into the future, in 2036, 14 years after the spread of the T-Virus. So we will probably have two timelines.
Set in the year 2036, the Resident Evil series picks up 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse. Jade Wesker fights for her survival in a world overrun by infected and bloodthirsty creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling dealings with the Umbrella Corporation, but most importantly by what happened to her sister, Billie..
You will have to squint a little to see zombies, maybe even dogs, so much the extracts are bathed in darkness. Nevertheless, we see Ella Balinska (Forspoken), face in blood, who will play it, Ash Williams, by cutting up the living dead with a shovel.

See you this summer
The Resident Evil series will be broadcast on Netflix from July 14, 2022. There will logically be 8 episodes of one hour each.
