A third boxer will soon enter the graphics card market ring. Her name ? Intel. And we can now discover the names of some of the manufacturer’s cards.
The American manufacturer Intel is preparing its arrival in the field of graphics cards, as we observed during the Game Awards 2021 ceremony. Thus, the Alchemist GPUs will arrive in early 2022. In the meantime, VideoCardz seems to have taken advantage of a source (who wishes to remain anonymous) to obtain the name of the card models.
For desktops and laptops
The information in question is a file concerning the driver of these famous cards. He thus mentions a first list that here is just for your amazed eyes:
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A380 Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350 Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A370M Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Arc (TM) A350M Graphics Family
- Intel (R) Iris (R) Xe A200M Graphics Family
The Intel range
So we have four desktop models (Arc models) and one laptop model (Iris model). Previous leaks have suggested that there could be as many as five different variants of DG2 GPUs, these differences particularly relate to memory. It is therefore not an exhaustive list, but it remains interesting to know the nomenclature that Intel wishes to adopt in the future.
Hopefully we can navigate it more easily than with the current strategy of Nvidia, which seems to want to multiply the models month after month. In terms of power, the Arc A380 GPU could approach a GTX 1650 SUPER. And for its part, the Arc A350 would aim to compete with an RTX 3050 and its rival RX 6400 from AMD. Just that.
We should have more information in the coming weeks.
