Fans of The Last of Us are never missing a beat while filming the video game spinoff series. They shared on social networks new photos where we can see in particular the famous fungus, called cordyceps, which infects humans….
Filming for The Last of Us continues! After a first glimpse of the sets of the series, the finest sleuths among the fans shared a few days ago new photos where we see Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) evolving, weapon in hand. But what interests most about these pictures is cordyceps, the famous fungus that has infected and killed 60% of the population in video games.
Even if the photos are not of very good quality, they should reassure the fans because the aesthetic of the cordyceps is very close to that of the video game saga. Add to that a bit of post-production to create the spores and the post-apocalyptic vibe of The Last of Us should be more or less respected.
It will take a little patience before discovering what will look like the infected at their different stages (runners, snappers, or even colossi and stinking, the hardest to kill). For the moment HBO has not yet announced the broadcast date of season 1. You should know that the shooting must continue until June 2022 in Calgary (Canada) and that it takes an intense post-production period …
On the French side, no channel has yet got hold of it. In short, the wait will be long.
