In 2012, Jennifer Lawrence was still a rising star of the Hollywood scene. It is in this context that we find her in “The house at the end of the street”. The actress was heavily involved in this project, even pushing the song for the needs of the film.
The house at the end of the street: J-Law lives the horror
As ironic as it sounds, The house at the end of the street was one of the first serious film projects in Jennifer Lawrence’s career. Indeed, the actress shot the film in 2010, long before X-Men: the beginning and Hunger Games, two feature films that have definitely made him famous among the general public. However, it was not until two years before the horror film saw the light of day in theaters. There is no doubt that the notoriety of J-Law, acquired thanks to his two previous blockbusters, played a role in its diffusion in the cinema. If the cast of the film is not high-sounding, we will still note the presence of Elisabeth Shue (eternal girlfriend of Marty McFly in Back to the Future 2 and Back to the Future 3).
The house at the end of the street follows young teenager Elissa who moves in with her mother to a new town called Woodshire. Their new habitat, however, is next to another, in which a horrendous double homicide has taken place. Indeed, a young girl murdered her own parents there 4 years earlier. The only survivor of the massacre, Ryan still lives on the scene. Elissa begins to approach the latter. However, she understands that something is wrong with this whole thing.
Jennifer Lawrence at the microphone
If J-Law is a great actress, she also has some vocal talent. Thus, she knew how to benefit the production of The house at the end of the street. Indeed, in one of the promotional teasers of the film, we can see the actress taking again the title of Benji Hughes entitled All You’ve Got to Do is Fall in Love. Accompanied by his guitar, J-Law makes his beautiful voice sing, while some images from the film appear on the screen.
This is not the first time that Jennifer Lawrence sings for the needs of a film. We could thus hear his bit of voice in a scene cut fromAmerican bluff. Above all, she brilliantly interpreted The Hanging Tree, original song from the third part ofHunger Games. The song has also ranked number 1 in many countries.
