The Flight 93 Hijack : What is it about ?
The plot of this unitary revolves around the terrible events that occurred during the attacks of September 11, 2001. On this dark day in history, terrorists hijack four planes over the cities of New York and Washington. Three of the devices will eventually destroy the twin towers of the World Trade Center as well as part of the Pentagon. The Flight 93 Hijack is interested as the name suggests to the fate of the fourth plane. Through the heroic intervention of passengers and crew members, the device will ultimately not reach its target, namely the White House.
It’s Nevin Schreiner (Family secrets, Body Snatchers) who signs the scenario of this 1.5 hour fiction. In the production, we find the filmmaker Peter Markle (X-Files, Emergency room). For the record, Schreiner and Markle are not the only ones who wanted pay tribute to the victims of flight 93. A film of the same name, directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum) also saw the light of day in 2006. Both works both retrace the chronology of events: it is therefore almost a question of reconstructions, in particular allowed by calls and messages exchanged between the late passengers and their relatives.
Shot like a documentary, the feature film almost immerses us in real time in the events experienced by passengers. We will then follow the point of view of the latter, the terrorists, but also that of the authorities, clearly overwhelmed by the events.
