Expected for October 1 on Netflix, “The Guilty” adapts the Danish film of the same name with Antoine Fuqua in the direction and Jake Gyllenhaal in the leading role. Check out the trailer.
Having become a benchmark in the closed-door genre, The Guilty, Gustav Möller’s first film, continues to make a lot of talk about him. Awarded in the many festivals where it has passed, the thriller is now adapted to the Hollywood sauce with Antoine Fuqua at the helm and Jake Gyllenhaal in the skin of the operator. The first trailer suggests a version faithful to the original, namely an immersive film where the off-screen becomes the other character of the plot.
Jake Gyllenhaal plays Joe Bayler, police officer in a 911 emergency call center. When he comes into contact with a kidnapped woman, he must use his intuition and imagination to save her. But some appearances are sometimes deceptive.
Of all plans, Jake Gyllenhaal is surrounded by Paul Dano, Riley Keough, Ethan Hawke and Peter Sarsgaard. An excellent cast for a thriller that promises to be as breathtaking as its model. Available from October 1 on the Netflix platform. For information, The Guilty is also adapted in the form of a play, Guilty with Richard Anconina, who has been playing since August 31 at Studio Marigny.
