Recurring actors in Wes Anderson’s films, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton, have painted an offbeat portrait of the director of The French Dispatch, currently in theaters.
Being part of the inner circle of Wes Anderson, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton have often shot for the director. The latter once again called on them for his new film The French Dispatch, presented in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival, and now screened in cinemas. In this tasty film, a true love letter to journalists and to a certain romantic and offbeat vision of France, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton play an editor and a journalist.
We therefore asked the two actors which offbeat angle to the French Dispatch they would choose if they had to write an article on Wes Anderson, the film being built like a live action magazine with segments featuring different articles. The duo humorously paid for the director, while revealing their talent for croquet and their passion for good meals.
