Filmmaker Andy Muschietti is currently shooting the film “The Flash”. The opportunity to bring Ezra Miller back in the skin of the hero. The first photographs of the filming of the film have just leaked on the net, and reveal the presence of Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne and Sasha Calle as Supergirl.
The Flash : the DCEU continues to expand
Expected for November 2, 2022, The Flash is one of the next installments of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Despite the financial failure of Wonder Woman 1984 (only $ 166 million in revenue, which is very little for a blockbuster of this size), the DCEU continues to expand. Besides future films Aquaman 2, Shazam 2 and Black adam, that’s also Flash that will have its own movie. The character played by Ezra Miller since Batman v superman will therefore have his own adventure, directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama, It).
The peculiarity of this feature film is that it will be inspired by comics Flashpoint. An iconic story for all comic book readers, which touches on the multiverse and time travel. In the manner of Spider-Man: No Way Home at Marvel Studios, The Flash will take its protagonist on unexplored paths. The opportunity for Warner Bros. to recall Michael Keaton as Batman. A role he had held in the 1980s in both Tim Burton films.
Bruce Wayne Returns
Not long ago, the production recreated the Wayne Mansion from the Tim Burton films. A sizeable clue as to Return of Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight, decades after his unforgettable interpretation of the vigilante. Now, new footage from the shoot has been shared on the web. Twitter account NewWestBoy has published previously unseen photographs of the shooting of The Flash. Photos that reveal in particular the return of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne, and the presence of a little news: Sasha Calle. The latter is the new face of Supergirl, a heroine who had not yet been introduced to the DCEU. These pictures even make it possible to see the actress in her superheroine costume:
Now remains to know How Andy Muschietti will approach the return of Michael Keaton. Likewise, one still wonders how he will integrate the legacy of Tim Burton into the DCEU. As a reminder, the film will feature two Batman: Michael Keaton, but also Ben Affleck, who will once again take on the costume of the Dark Knight.
