The lead roles in the movie, which will be directed by Gary Fleder, have also been announced.
The first televised exorcism movie is being made. The movie “True Haunting” is based on Edwin F. Becker’s novel of the same name, which tells the story of his own experiences. The director and producer of the movie are Gary Fleder, who has produced films such as Runaway Jury and Impostor.
“True Haunting” will star Erin Moriarty, whom we have seen in TV series such as True Detective, Jessica Jones, The Boys, and movies such as Captain Fantastic, Blood Father, and Jamie Campbell Bower, who starred in productions such as The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Stranger Things. Other names in the cast of the movie have not yet been announced.
“True Haunting,” tells the story of Ed and Marsha Becker, a young couple who move into a new house and quickly discover that the house is haunted. As a result of Becker’s paranormal experience, they become the subject of the first nationally televised exorcism. The rite that NBC reported was broadcast to millions nationwide in 1971. As the book claims, the exorcism didn’t work and made things worse for the Beckers.
The film, which is announced to be shot in Serbia, is planned to meet the audience in 2023.
