In “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ the MCU will be expanded with a new world: the underwater world of Atlantis. Not much is known about the sequel to “Black Panther”, but so far we have heard that there should be some kind of war between Wakanda and Atlantis. And we also get to know some well-known cartoon characters from Atlantis, who will now also play an important role in the MCU.
At the forefront is Namor, who, according to long-circulating rumors from Tenoch Huerta (“Narcos: Mexico”, “Black Panther 2″ (and then also in the further MCU)The Forever Purge”) is played. In a way, Namor is the Marvel counterpart of DCs Aquaman: the ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The son of a human father and an Atlantean mother, he is also a mutant in the comics (this mutant side might be ignored in the MCU).
A now through the Twitter channel MCU facility However, the published image printed on merchandising products confirms once again that that the design of Namor and Atlantis was based on the Mesoamerican advanced cultures of the Maya and Aztecs. Namor actor Tenoch Huerta has already revealed that he learned a Mayan language for his role in “Black Panther 2”.
Incidentally, it is not the only figure picture that MCU facility via merchandising products and which shows a new figure. And the second character could be the real villain of the movie…
The second picture shows a design of the mighty warrior Attuma, who is obsessed with taking over Atlantis and knows no qualms about it. Not only does he have superhuman strength, but unlike most other Atlanteans, he can survive out of water—although his powers diminish the longer he is on land.
that through MCU facility The released image is a drawing, but it’s supposed to be based on the final design in the film, so it tells us what the character will look like.
While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, it’s likely that Mexican newcomer Josué Maychi will star as Attuma in Black Panther 2. Fans should be particularly pleased that the character has blue skin. This comic look seems to be retained for the inhabitants of Atlantis.
With Namor and Attuma we should now also know the big villain in “Black Panther 2”. Although it is not clear which of the two it will be. There have been numerous reports pointing to Namor as the main villain in Ryan Coogler’s film. In the comics, he’s actually a hero. So it’s entirely conceivable that Namor only appears like the villain because he starts a war against Wakanda. Gradually, however, it may come out that he was manipulated or deceived and in the end he and Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Co. are on the same side.
This is where Attuma could come into play as a real villain, who then has to be fought together in the finale.
“Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever” starts on November 9, 2022 in German cinemas and will present us with Namor as well as Riri Williams alias Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) as a new heroine. She is the quasi-sequel to Iron Man and is making her debut here ahead of her own MCU series.
There will probably be more about her, Namor and the story of “Black Panther 2” shortly. The first images of merchandise products that are now circulating are an indication that Marvel is preparing the marketing campaign. Probably one will see the theatrical release of “Thor 4: Love And Thunder” on July 6, 2022, so that the MCU fans can focus on this film for now. In the coming weeks, however, trailers, pictures, information, etc. about “Black Panther 2” should follow.
