The shooting of the 4th installment of the Expendables saga ends for Sylvester Stallone. The actor announced it on his social media, confirming that it will be his last appearance as Barney Ross.
Sylvester Stallone, 75, has re-stuck a 4th time in the costume of mercenary Barney Ross, leader of the troop of the Expendables!
The new feature film, directed by Scott Waugh (Need For Speed), is currently being filmed, still starring Jason Statham, Randy Couture and Dolph Lundgren. Newcomers have joined the happy gang: Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Andy Garcia and 50 Cent.
But all good things must end. Stallone, conductor of the saga, said he had finished shooting his scenes. In a video posted on his Instagram account, the legendary Rocky interpreter also confirms that this 4th episode will be his last.
The comedian, who seems very moved, clarified that it was a conclusion “bittersweet” for his character and that he was ready to “Passing the baton to Lee Christmas aka Jason Statham.”
“Last Expendables for me. Today is my last day of shooting … I’m coming home”Sylvester Stallone commented on his video. Does this farewell to Barney Ross long before the end of the shootings mean that his character will pass the weapon to the left?
We will not know until the release of the film, the date of which has not yet been announced. Note that we should find the actor soon in Samaritan, in which he plays an aging superhero.
