One month away from the release of The Eternals, Marvel has just unveiled a new promotional video for the film containing a few never-before-seen scenes, notably with the family of the studio’s first openly gay hero.
As Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings continues to hit theaters, Marvel is already setting the stage for its next production to hit screens: The Eternals.
Directed by Chloé Zhao, this film will follow a new team of superheroes never seen in the cinema. Called the Eternals, these characters belong to an ancient race of human beings with powers that were created by the Celestials to protect the Earth from their evil counterparts, the Deviants.
The new video released by Marvel is composed of several scenes already present in the previous trailers, but also new images, in particular a plan which allows to have a more precise vision of the powers of Gilgamesh (Ma Dong-seok), able to stop a Deviant in mid-race with only the help of his magic fists.
The footage also introduces us to the MCU’s first gay family: Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry). We see his companion and his son in an amusing sequence where the latter is excited at the idea of meeting Ikaris (Richard Madden), whom he saw in action on TV.
Gemma Chan (Sersi), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Salma Hayek (Ajak), Kit Harington (Dane Whitman) and Angelina Jolie (Thena) are obviously also present in this new video which should make superhero fans even more impatient. to discover The Eternals on the big screen, from November 3.
