Known for his compositions for Game of Thrones and Westworld in particular, Ramin Djawadi signs the soundtrack of the Eternals, a new Marvel film directed by Chloé Zhao.
The Eternals marks a turning point in the MCU by telling the tale of these cosmic beings who have acted in the shadows for millennia to protect humanity. This near-standalone film that begins new stories for Phase IV and the rest of the Marvel Universe is directed by Chloe Zhao who brings her naturalistic touch to the world of superheroes.
While this is a first for the director in the MCU, The Eternals marks Ramin Djawadi’s return to music in the Marvel Universe. Indeed, the composer had signed the soundtrack of Iron Man, the very first feature film of the MCU.
The one who is also behind the music of Prison Break, Person of Interest, Game of Thrones, Westworld and Pacific Rim composes here epic themes for The Eternals and also revisits pop music like “Friends” by BTS, “Juice” by Lizzo, “The Next Episode” by Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg or “Time” by Pink Floyd.
