Discover a deleted scene from the Marvel movie The Eternals, directed by Chloé Zhao. The sequence reveals new information about one of the important characters in the feature film.
On November 3, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universal discovered an atypical film within the universe: The Eternals. Directed by Chloé Zhao, Oscar winner for Nomadland, the feature film follows a group of heroes from the far reaches of the universe. These have been protecting the Earth since the dawn of humanity.
When the Deviants, monstrous creatures thought to be long gone, mysteriously reappear, the Eternals are once again forced to come together in defense of humanity.
The work is now available on Disney + in the United States. The big-eared firm took the opportunity to unveil a cut scene, showing Dane Whitman, played by Kit Harington, chatting with Sprite (Lia McHugh) in a museum.
THE CUT OFF SCENE
The two characters evoke in particular the relationship between Sersi (Gemma Chan) and Dane, before a kind of earthquake disturbs the conversation. We can find this cut amazing because this dialogue allows to know a little more about Sprite and its influence on the world. It would have totally had its place in the final cut.
SPRITE AND ILLUSIONS
The character played by young Lia McHugh reveals to Dane that she possesses the power to create illusions. “The reason humans are at the top of the food chain is because they believe in structures and principles that don’t actually exist. Gods. Nations. Money. All of these concepts. Fables. . Illusions. And guess who taught them all that? Me “, she specifies in the face of a wary Kit Harington.
A blooper has also been revealed! Despite the very serious tone of the Eternals plot, the actors and the director had a good laugh on the set.
Note that the film brought in 400 million dollars in worldwide revenue for an estimated budget of 160 million. A pretty decent score even if it is below expectations for a Marvel film. In France, it attracted 1.7 million curious people.
