In 2017, the whole of France was shaken by the criminal case concerning the murder of Alexia Daval. This news item will soon be adapted into a television series, based on the book “The Alexia Daval Affair – The Real Story”. The couple will be played by two actors from the series “Tomorrow belongs to us”. Check out the rest of the cast.
The Daval mystery : TF1 seizes the news
The various facts fascinate the crowds and the television likes to seize them to make telefilms or even detective series. After having adapted the affair of little Grégory in A French affair, TF1 is launching a new challenge and will soon adapt a new news item, that of Alexia Daval assassinated by her husband Jonathan. Entitled The Daval mystery, the series will return to this terrible affair which marked all of France.
As a reminder, two days after her disappearance, Alexia Daval, aged 29, was found dead on October 30. His body is partially charred. After showing the face of a grieving widower for three months, alongside his in-laws, Jonathan Daval, the young woman’s husband, is arrested and placed in police custody. He confesses on January 30, 2018 to having killed his wife “Accidentally”, before retracting. It was not until several months later that he confessed to his crime and was sentenced to 25 years of criminal imprisonment.
Famous actors in the main roles
The filming of the fiction has just started around Lyon. The cast of this new series has finally been unveiled. To embody the famous couple, TF1 called on regulars from the channel since the two actors have evolved in the daily soap opera Tomorrow belongs to us. We thus find in the role of Jonathan, Liam Baty, known under the features of Rémy in the soap opera TF1, which will give the answer to Maud Baecker, who interprets Anna in Tomorrow is ours.
It is Michèle Bernier who will slip into the skin of Alexia’s mother, Isabelle Fouillot. In the role of the father we will find Jérôme Anger. Finally, Captain Dacosta in charge of the investigation will be played by Thierry Neuvic, recently seen in the series I lied. Vanessa Guide, for her part, will play a certain Magali Paulin. All the fiction will be freely inspired by the book The Alexia Daval case – the real story by Laurent Briot and Christophe Dubois. Series The Daval mystery, is written by the creators of Clem, Emmanuelle Rey-Magnan and Pascal Fontanille. Everything is done by Christophe Lamotte who was in charge of A French Affair.
