The contents of Top Gun for Microsoft Flight Simulator which has been delayed have finally found a new release date. What to take for Tom Cruise for a moment.
French development studio Asobo has finally shared a release date for the expansion Top Gun previously delayed for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Indeed, the free update must now arrive on May 25.
Tom Cruise’s plane in Flight Simulator
This content Top Gun for Flight Simulator was originally slated to roll out last November with the upcoming movie Top Gun: Maverickbut the film itself has been delayed by Paramount Pictures… We can thus better understand the decision of the delay.
Note however that Asobo has not yet specified what Flight Simulator players will be able to find in terms of content stricto-sensu. We only know that we should be able to fly the F/A-18 Hornet Navy from the firm of McDonnell Douglas. The multi-role aircraft thus replaces the F-14 Tomcat of the 1986 film.
How to see the stars
1950 km/h speed, 2000 km range, 15,000 m/min climbing speed. In short, enough to bring a little punch to Microsoft’s simulation title. Note that this is not the first Flight Simulator jet, far from it, since we can already fly the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor among other things.
Surprise (or not) the movie Top Gun: Maverick will also release on May 25, 2022. It’s a safe bet that the film will bring a lot of people to the game to test the new content.
