The Chronicle of Bridgerton : reason and many feelings
Adaptation of novels by Julia Quinn created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes, The Chronicle of Bridgerton immerses viewers in the socialities of London’s high society from the beginning of the 19th century. A universe where gossip reaches all ears, including those of Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel). A third season that deviates from the order of the novels
Volume 3 of The Chronicle of Bridgerton focuses on Benedict, played by Luke Thompson in the series. The producers decided to deviate from the works for the future since, as Nicola Coughlan, the interpreter of Penelope Featherington, has just confirmed, season 3 will focus above all on the relationship between her character and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
At Netflix’s FYSEE event, the actress put an end to the weeks-long suspense. Quoted by Deadlineshe said:
Like Lady Whistledown, I’ve been keeping a secret for several months and I can confirm that season 3 will be the love story between Penelope and Colin. I’ve kept this secret since the second week spent on season 2.
As a reminder, season 2 did not did not end on a high note for the two friends. In addition to falling out with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Penelope overhears a conversation during which Colin claims he will never woo her. Words that, logically, hurt her deeply. Are reconciliation and rapprochement still possible? Answer in a few months, even if the words of Nicola Coughlan already give some clues…
