While season 2 of “The Chronicle of the Bridgertons” is expected in 2022, the Netflix platform unveils the figures for season 1 which raises the production of Shonda Rhimes to the top.
Since the release of its first season, in December 2020, The Chronicle of the Bridgertons has been the subject of much ink. The adaptation of Julia Quinn’s literary series notably revealed several talents, such as Phoebe Dynevor or Regé-Jean Page, both of whom have become Hollywood’s new darlings. While the first images of season 2 were revealed on the occasion of the Tudum event on September 25, Netflix unveils its figures and demonstrates the impressive impact of fiction.
The production of Shonda Rhimes, undisputed queen of American television, climbs to the number one place of the most viewed series with more than 82 million subscribers reached. In its footnotes, the platform nevertheless specifies that the figures include subscriber accounts if viewers watch at least two minutes of the program within 28 days of its release.

After this first place, we find part 4 of La Casa de Papel in second place, season 3 of Stranger Things in third, season 1 of The Witcher in fourth and season 2 of 13 Reasons Why in fifth place.
The Bridgertons Chronicle is also at the top of the ranking of series classified by viewing hours. The first season accounts for no less than 625 million hours of viewing in the 28 days following its release on December 25, 2020.
If season 2 does not yet know an official release date – only dated 2022 -, there are many rumors circulating about the future of the series. The new plot this time should focus mainly on Daphne’s brother, Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey. Regé-Jean Page should, for his part, not appear in this new chapter, unless there is a small surprise.
