It’s now official: The Boys will give birth to a little sister. Amazon has just ordered the spin-off, which was until then in development. We tell you everything.
Even The Boys is no exception to the spin-off fashion. We told you about it a year ago: Amazon was burning up a spinoff series, Hunger Games style, which chronicles the hectic lives of young superheroes in the making in an ultra-competitive school.
Managed by Vought International, it is the only one of its kind in the United States: their physical resistance, their hormones and their limits are tested there on a daily basis with, as a result, the best contracts to rule in the best cities.
After a year of development and the departure of showrunner Craig Rosenberg for creative disputes, it is now official, the series – whose name we do not yet know – will see the day. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters (Agent Carter) will take over the writing, with a tone that we hope closer to The Boys.
Casting side, Lizze Broadway (The Rookie) Jaz Sinclair (Les Nouvelles Aventures de Sabrina), Shane Paul McGhie (Greenleaf,), Aimee Carrero (The Village), Reina Hardesty (Flash) and Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters) will camp the youngsters superheroes who dream of joining the 7.
While waiting to discover this trashy super-heroic spin-off, subscribers will be able to revel in season 3 of The Boys, whose shooting is officially over!
