Because we at DashFUN organize together with MOVIEPILOT exclusive screenings of “The Black Phone“ in Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Berlin. And for that we are giving away tickets here. A soundproof basement room. A broken phone. No one can hear 13-year-old Finney Shaw (Mason Thames) scream as he is kidnapped by sadistic serial killer The Claw (Ethan Hawke). When the phone suddenly rings and a mysterious voice gives him a valuable tip, it becomes clear: someone is hearing him, and whoever it is knows exactly what awaits Finney if he doesn’t manage to escape from the basement.
“The Black Phone’ is Scott Derrickson’s new filmwriter and director of Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Marvels Doctor Strange“. He also co-wrote the screenplay this time with C. Robert Cargill, based on the short story of the same name by Joe Hill from his New York Times bestseller 20th Century Ghosts“.
