The series, where flames rise from the kitchen and lots of competition, tells the story of Carmen “Carmy” Berzattı, a young and talented chef who suddenly finds himself in the family-run sandwich shop The Original Beef of Chicagoland. Returning home after a loss in the family, Carmy has difficulties in managing a small business after a Michelin-starred restaurant, while the rest of the kitchen will keep tensions high in this adventure.
