Netflix has reported that “The Baby-Sitters Club” has been canceled after two seasons. Based on the bestselling book series by Ann M. Martin, “The Baby-Sitters Club” is described as a contemporary drama about the friendships and adventures of seven friends who started their own babysitting business in Stoneybrook, Conn.

Rachel Shukert, creator, and showrunner of the series said on Friday, “Since I was 7 years old I wanted to be a part of the world Ann M. Martin created and I really did for two amazing seasons. It was a dream come true. One more season. While I am heartbroken that I will not be returning to Stoneybrook, I am proud of the incredible show our amazing cast and crew have created and brought joy and comfort to many when they need it most.” she said.
