


On the official Twitter account the anime adaptation of the manga series »The Ancient Magus’ Bride« (Japanese: »Mahoutsukai no Yome«) was released today announcedthat the series will continue with a second season. You can see a first teaser further down in this article.
Second season starts in April 2023
The second season, which will start on Japanese television in April 2023, is being produced under the direction of director Kazuaki Terasawa (»The Ancient Magus’ Bride – The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm«) at Studio KAFKA, which is responsible for the production of the new three-part The Ancient Magus’ Bride OVA, parts one and two of which are already available on Crunchyroll.
Aya Takaha, who worked on the first season, is co-writing the screenplay with Yoko Yonaiyama, who worked on the new OVA series. Character design will once again be done by Hirotaka Kato, while Junichi Matsumoto will again compose the music. The Japanese voice actors known from previous anime projects slip into their roles again.
The second season adapts the »Gakuin« arc from the original manga series by Kore Yamazaki. The 24-part first season, which started in Japan in autumn 2017, as well as various OVA episodes can be seen in Germany with German and Japanese voice overs on the Crunchyroll streaming platform.
