The 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival opened its doors with the opening ceremony.



Organized for the 59th time this year, hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival officially started with the opening ceremony this evening. In the ceremony held at Antalya Indoor Sports Hall with the presentation of actress Nefise Karatay and writer Yekta Kopan, Honor Awards and “Lifetime Achievement Awards” were presented to the winners.
At the ceremony, which started with the participation and speeches of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Muhittin Insect, Perihan Savaş, who won the “Best Actress Award” for the movie “Bedrana” in 1974, and “On the Ship” in 1999 in Golden Orange. Erkan Can, who received the “Best Actor Award” with the films “Takva” and “Takva” in 2006, was given the “Honorary Award”, and Zerrin Tekindor was given the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
Elif Refiğ and Murat Mahmutyazıcıoğlu won the “Special Jury Award” worth 40 thousand liras for the scenario titled “The Lonely” in the Literary Adaptation Screenplay Competition, which was held for the first time this year, while the “Best Screenplay Award” worth 80 thousand liras was awarded to “When the Shadows Retract”. with the screenplay by Burcu Aykar. The ceremony ended with Mustafa Sandal’s concert.
The first two films of the National Feature Film Competition, chaired by Yeşim Ustaoğlu and the other jury members are Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Azra Deniz Okyay, Harun Tekin, Haydar Ergülen, Nurgül Yeşilçay and Uğur İçbak, will be screened tomorrow.
