It’s now official: the spin-off of “The 100”, the CW’s flagship post-apocalyptic series, which was announced more than two years ago, has been dropped by the channel.

After long months (even years) of suspense, the spin-off of The 100 will ultimately not see the light of day. According to TV Line, sources confirmed that the CW, which aired the mother series, has decided to abandon the project, which has been in the works for more than two years.
Last May, CW director Mark Pedowitz tried to reassure fans of the series at a press conference, saying the spin-off project was still up and running.
“Discussions are still ongoing – although nothing is done yet”He had thus explained. We must therefore believe that the chain has since decided to move on. It remains to be seen whether Warner Bros. TV plans to sell the series to other channels.
As a reminder, this prequel of The 100, developed by Jason Rothenberg, who was already at the origin of the mother series, was to take place 97 years before the arrival of the 100 on Earth, just after the nuclear apocalypse which reduced the humanity in ashes. She then had to follow a group of survivors forced to learn to live in a world that had become hostile.
