The Xbox presentation of a Tokyo Game Show 2021 which has just started quietly allowed to see one of the stars of the Showcase of the last E3. But it was his spin-off that got the most attention.
Rah, bitch of life. We hope so much to hear from Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes that we forget the very sad truth revealed during the Xbox & Bethesda conference this summer: we should not hope for it before 2023. In fact, see a handful seconds during this TGS is both fun and frustrating. But let’s not sulk too much our pleasure. Illustrator Junko Kawano and Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama didn’t come just to infuriate us. The two key members of Rabbit & Bear had a few minutes of gameplay from the spin-off announced this summer: Eiyuden Chronicle Rising.
Garoo upside down
It is recalled that like Bloostained: Curse of the Moon for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Rising does not evolve in the same genre. It will be an action-RPG that will feature town building mechanics. The presence of a few characters of Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes is guaranteed and there are even rewards planned in the latter for players who sand Rising. For now, we have to be content here for a few moments to watch Garoo wield his huge cabbage slicer. And that’s not bad already, since the universe looks perfectly charming. But we will have to verify this in 2022, the year of release of this spin-off.
