Available on Netflix since February 18, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” offers a brand new Leatherface, much more violent and brutal than in Tobe Hooper’s film. But what does he look like without his mask?

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022

After several sequels and reboots of all kinds, Leatherface is back once again on Netflix. simply baptized Chainsaw Massacre the film directed by David Blue Garcia aims to be the direct sequel of Tobe Hooper’s masterpiece released in 1974. This bias resembles the reboot of the saga Halloween, which was placed as a direct sequel to Carpenter’s film. And the comparison with Michael Myers does not stop there.

Indeed, this Leatherface is much more violent and bestial than that of Hooper, as the new Michael Myers. This new film has moreover nothing more to do with the original, except the name. Very short (barely 90 minutes) and surprisingly gore, it should nevertheless amuse lovers of hemoglobins.

In this feature film available on Netflix since February 18, we discover that Leatherface spent the rest of his life in an orphanage, with his adoptive mother. But she dies and he seeks revenge. His new target? A group of young adults comes to do real estate prospecting in the city, which he deems responsible for the death of his adoptive mother.

What does he look like without the mask?

As in the first Chainsaw Massacre, Leatherface quickly makes himself a mask out of human flesh. That of his adoptive mother to be more precise. This attribute gives it an almost animal appearance. This mask coupled with his impressive stature makes his appearance the strong point of the film.

It is the actor Mark Burnham who slips into the skin of Leatherface. Even before putting on his custom-made mask, his appearance was not left to chance. Thus, the make-up teams and prosthetists made him scars on the face and created a denture for him. This is what Leatherface looks like without his mask:
