Paramount is relaunching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! After two films released in 2014 and 2016, a new feature film dedicated to the famous quartet is currently in development, still with Michael Bay in production. It will be written by Colin and Casey Jost.
The most popular turtles on the small and big screen will be back soon! In addition to the animated film produced by Seth Rogen for Nickelodeon scheduled for 2023, a live feature film is indeed in preparation, this time from Paramount.
As revealed Deadline, the studio has recruited Colin Jost, one of the main authors of Saturday Night Live, and his brother Casey Jost to write this new episode of the adventures of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael.
This is the first time that the screenwriter and actor (he was recently on the bill of Tom and Jerry) has been entrusted with such a large-scale project. The one who married Scarlett Johansson last year was also hired by Universal to co-write Worst Man, a comedy he will star in alongside his SNL sidekick Pete Davidson.
Still untitled, this new feature film dedicated to the disciples of Splinter is seen as a priority by Paramount. It will once again be produced by Michael Bay but also Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, Scott Mednick and Galen Walker.
