Emmy-nominated Maslany’s new project has been announced
Tatiana Maslany has joined the cast of AMC’s new series “Invitation to a Bonfire,” inspired by the interdependent marriage of Vladimir and Vera Nabokov. Yıldız will also undertake the executive producer of the project, which will be released in 2023. Maslany’s casting was announced during his presentation at AMC’s 2022 Television Critics Association summer press tour.
The actor joins previously announced actors Freya Mavor, Pilou Asbæk, and Ngozi Anyanwu. Based on Adrienne Celt’s novel and set in a girls’ boarding school in the 1930s.Invitation to a Bonfire” will follow Zoya (Mavor), a young Russian immigrant and garden keeper, who is drawn into a deadly love triangle with the school kids. Leo (Asbæk), the school’s newest faculty member and an enigmatic novelist, and the charming Vera (Maslany), Leo’s wife, editor, and everything, also occupy a prominent place in the story.
The first season will consist of six episodes. Tatiana Maslany is best known for her various roles in the sci-fi series “Orphan Black.” Other notable projects include HBO’s “Perry Mason” and Joey Klein’s “The Other Half.” Next up is the lead role in Disney+’s production of “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”.
