In an interview with The New York Times, Egerton took over the role from Hugh Jackman and both the X-Men and the X-Men Avengers He described his desire to play the character central to their series: “I don’t think it would be wrong to say that. I would be excited but also worried because Hugh is so connected to the role that I wonder if it would be too difficult for anyone else to do it. But I hope if it does, they’ll give me a chance. ”
Egerton, who made his big break with Matthew Vaughn’s “Kingsman: The Secret Service” in 2014, co-starred with Hugh Jackman in “Eddie the Eagle” in 2016.
