After two film years in a row marred by the closure of cinemas, we hope that 2022 will be different. Notably because many superhero films are expected in theaters. Here are which ones.
Superhero in spite of himself (February 9)
Initially, the film by Philippe Lacheau was due out on October 20. But like many of his colleagues, the film was moved to a later date.
Superhero in spite of himself tells the story of how an apprentice actor finally lands his first major role in a superhero movie. One evening, after an accident which made him lose his memory, he wakes up in the skin of a real superhero. Well, that’s what he thinks. This comedy is directed and carried by Philippe Lacheau, who once again surrounds himself with his usual team, namely Élodie Fontan, Tarek Boudali and Julien Arruti. Also present are Jean-Hugues Anglade, Chantal Ladesou and Alice Dufour.
The Batman (March 2)
Whereas Ben Affleck to reprise Batman role from DC Extended Unuiverse (DCEU) in the future movie The Flash, Another version of the Dark Knight is about to hit theaters. March 2 will be released The batman by Matt Reeves, a new appreciation of the myth with Robert Pattinson in the title role.
The director of the latest films The Planet of the Apes seems to have taken a darker, more violent approach than previous Batman adaptations. Regarding the rest of the cast, the cast of this new film will feature Paul Dano (The Riddler), Colin Farrell (Le Penguin), Zoë Krabitz (Catwoman), Andy Serkis (Alfred), John Turturro (Falcone) and Jeffrey Wright ( Gordon). Sacred program.
Decidedly, Morbius is desired. Originally scheduled for March 17, 2021, the feature film has since been regularly postponed. In the last news, it was due out on January 26th. But it has just been redated again as of March 30, 2022.
After failing as the Joker, Jared Leto changes sides and joins the Marvel team. He lends his features to Morbius, the living vampire, a recurring antagonist from the Spider-Man comics. The trailer notably revealed the return of Michael Keaton in the skin of the Vulture, a character he played in Spider-Man: Homecoming. For now, it’s unclear whether Tom Holland will appear as Spider-Man or not.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 4)
While Spider-Man: No Way Home is still in theaters, The next Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie to see the light of day will be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. A new opus which will follow directly on the events of the last one Spiderman dated.
Dr. Strange is going to have to take responsibility for his actions and sort out many multiverse issues. He will also turn to the powerful Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) for his help. On the production side, it is the talented Sam Raimi who succeeds Scott Derrickson.
Super Dog Krypto (May 18)
Between the DCEU films, The batman and Super dog krypto, the DC universe will be omnipresent on screen in 2022. Jared Stern and Sam Levine are directing their first feature film here. With a vocal cast including Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and John Krasinski, the film will focus on the most famous DC superheroes fantastic beasts. Thus, Superman’s dog will find himself facing a terrible challenge: saving his master from the hands of Lex Luthor.
Thor: Love and Thunder (July 13)
After Thor: Ragnarok, filmmaker Taika Waititi is back behind the camera to direct Thor: Love and Thunder. Chris Hemsworth is back as Odin’s son. But this fourth opus will have a very particular flavor since the intrigue will bring back Jane Foster on the front of the stage.
Natalie Portman is therefore back in the skin of the character, doomed, in this new episode, to become Thor instead of Thor. Like in Jason Aaron’s comics, Thor’s former girlfriend is going to recover Mjolnir and the powers of the God of Thunder. In addition to this new representation of the character, the feature film will also bring back Guardians of the Galaxy, the Valkyrie and introduce two important new characters: Gorr played by Christian Bale and Zeus played by Russell Crowe.
Dwayne Johnson is finally going enter the DCEU. The comedian will indeed camping the mighty Black Adam, an iconic character from the comics, Nemesis of Shazam. He will thus play this ambiguous antagonist in front of Jaume’s camera …
