David Ayer is claiming the right to release any cut he wants from “Suicide Squad” and fans continue to lend their support. Some unpublished pages of the script have just been read, as well as an image of a kiss between Harley Quinn and Deadshot.
Suicide Squad : will we one day see the cut of David Ayer?
The output of Zack Snyder’s Justice League helped put an end to the wave of complaints from fans, who absolutely wanted to see the director’s cut. The chapter was not however closed entirely because, then, it is the restoration of the Snyderverse that was claimed. It will obviously never happen, just like the Ayer Cut release of Suicide Squad.
David Ayer saw that Warner could give in to public pressure (with financial interest at stake) and still wants his version of the film to be seen. After all, we understand his desire as he was massacred at the exit of it. Like with Justice league, the intentions were better but the studio has been there to put its two cents in and mess things up. We don’t know if a Director’s cut version would be a success, but we can bet that it would be better than the disaster released in theaters.
The Ayer Cut is revealed thanks to leaks
For a long time now, we have been discovering new information about the Ayer Cut. Whether it is about the treatment of the characters, the scenario as a whole or even with new images. A cliché has just been talked about a lot in recent days. The @RTAyerCutSS Twitter account posted an image of a cut scene in which Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) are kissing passionately. It was actually planned that the two characters would get closer at David Ayer and this image proves that the scene was shot.
The emergence of the image on the net comes just after several pages of the original script have leaked. The most naive will speak of chance, but we prefer to evoke a maneuver to provoke a movement of mobilization among the fans, in the hope that the studio will react. We fear that he will never do it and that this montage remains a fantasy. Among the scenes disclosed, we find precisely the one where the two characters of the group kiss:
The other pages can be found on the same account and, of course, David Ayer took advantage of the enthusiasm to react by specifying that all the leaks are true and that the scenes exist :
Over the weekend, the #ReleaseTheAyerCut was picked up numerous times, creating a stir on Twitter. It occurs while The Suicide Squad has just landed in theaters and receives mostly good feedback from the press and the public.
