“Woman King” is in theaters on October 14th!



From the historical action movie “The Female King” starring Oscar winner Viola Davis (The Woman King) a new subtitled trailer has been released. Gina Prince-Bythewood, who previously directed the action “The Old Guard” starring Charlize Theron and penned the scripts for films such as “The Secret Life of Bees” and “Beyond the Lights”, both wrote the script and directed the movie.
To Viola Davis Accompanied by names such as John Boyega, Lashana Lynch, Jordan Bolger, Thuso Mbedu, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Shelia Atim, Shaina West, “Woman King” is the reality in the Kingdom of Dahomey, one of the most important and powerful regions of Africa in the 1800s. It tells a story inspired by events. Viola Davis plays the character of Namisca, the general of an all-female warrior society known as the “Amazons of Dahomey”.
The film will reveal the struggle of the Amazons against the white invaders who want to take over their lands by destroying the lifestyle and culture of the African peoples, while revealing that these brave warriors push themselves to the extreme to protect their families and homeland.
“Woman King” will be released on October 14 under the distributorship of TME Films.
