Written by DB Weiss, writer, and producer of Game of Thrones, the movie will hit Netflix on April 8.
Netflix has released the trailer of the music and comedy movie “Metalciyiz Biz” (Metal Lords). Directed by Peter Sollett, the screenplay was penned by DB Weiss, writer, and producer of Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones producer David Benioff also served as executive producer of “We’re Metalmakers.”
The plot of the movie is briefly as follows: In a school where only two children are interested in metal music, these two children naturally form a metal band. They look for a bass player but only find a girl who plays the cello. Let’s see if this team can work together to win the Battle of the Factions.
The cast of “We Are Metallicists” includes names such as Jaeden Martell, Isis Hainsworth, Joe Manganiello, Brett Gelman, Sufe Bradshaw, Katie O’Grady. Rage Against The Machine The guitarist and music producer of the band Tom Morello is also in the cast of the film as the executive music producer of the film.
In an interview with Billboard, Morello shared his experiences as a metal-loving boy: “I grew up in a small, closed, conservative suburb where my musical tastes contradicted those of pretty much everyone in school, and certainly all teachers. So this is something I can relate to a lot. It’s the story of children trying to get their first group together and having a dream, but perhaps not having the technical talent or artistic vision to make it happen…”
