With her portrayal of Max Mayfield in “Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink made her breakthrough. It seems the 20-year-old actor is currently interested in trying out different genres before starring again in Season 5 of the Netflix mega-hit series. She recently starred in The Whale at the Venice International Film Festival. In the drama by Darren Aronofsky (“Black Swan”) she plays the daughter of Brendan Fraser, who portrays a 270-kilogram man and can already count on hopes of winning an Oscar next year for it. Sink has already snapped up her next role.
As now announced (including via deadline), Sadie Sink is part of Jordan Scott’s “Berlin Nobody”. It is a psychological thriller that is currently being filmed in Berlin. The film is being produced by Alien creator Ridley Scott. Incidentally, the director’s last name is no coincidence in this case either, because Jordan Scott is the daughter of Ridley Scott, who, following her directorial debut “Cracks” in 2008, will be directing a feature-length film for the second time .
In addition to Sadie Sink, many other familiar faces can be seen in front of the camera. Hulk star Eric Bana stars in Berlin Nobody, while Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049), Jonas Dassler (The Golden Glove) and Sophie Rois (AEIOU – The Fast Alphabet of Love) are cast complete. The screenplay for the film was also written by Jordan Scott. However, one can assume that the psychological thriller will be released next year. When and by what means is of course not yet clear at this point in time.
“Berlin Nobody” is all about the American psychologist Ben Monroe (Eric Bana), who moves to the German capital to conduct research on the epidemic of cult mentality. As he immerses himself deeper into German culture, his rebellious teenage daughter Mazzy (Sadie Sink) meets a mysterious local boy (Jonas Dassler). It seems that Ben’s studies could gradually become of very personal importance…
