


Unpack your calendars: Here you can find out which dates you have to save for the rest of 2022 so that you don’t miss any new film highlights on Netflix. The streaming service has published its program for autumn 2022 and also for December including Christmas. Even a start date for January 2023 has cheated into the list – on January 6, 2023 you can look forward to the historical thriller “The Memorable Case of Mr. Poe” with Christian Bale. However, the film will be released in selected cinemas in the USA (and maybe also in Germany) in December. Someone wants to qualify for the Oscars 2023…
Some of the dates that have now been published again in an extensive list were already known, for example for the Marilyn Monroe film “Blond”. Ana de Armas (September 28, 2022), the Netflix remake of a war-movie masterpiece, All West (September 29, 2022 in cinemas, then on Netflix from October 28), and the sequel Enola Holmes 2 with Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill (November 4, 2022). Many of the dates are also brand new…
For example, Stephen King fans can look forward to the film adaptation of a short story by the horror pope on October 5, 2022. In “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” stars Donald Sutherland and “IT” star Jaeden Martell, among others. And also the fantasy adventure film “Schlummerland” with “Aquaman“-Star Jason Momoa finally has an appointment: From November 18, 2022, the film by “Hunger Games” director Francis Lawrence will be available on Netflix – you can already watch the trailer for “Slumberland” here:
While fans of the little wooden boy “Pinocchio” should be eagerly awaiting the Disney remake with Tom Hanks, which is coming to Disney+ on September 8, 2022, Netflix has its very own version ready: “Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio” starts on December 9th. — and the Pan’s Labyrinth director’s animated film is likely to be far darker than the Disney version.
Other animated films in Netflix’s fall line-up include the stop-motion film Wendell & Wild by Coraline director Henry Selick (October 28, 2022) and My Father’s Dragon, starring Jacob Tremblay andStranger Things-Star Gaten Matarazzo (November – exact date to be announced).
There’s star power, for example, in the novel adaptation “The Good Nurse” (October 26, 2022) about a murderous nurse with Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne, and Noah Baumbach’s “White Noise” (December 30, 2022) with Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig , Don Cheadle and Jodie Turner-Smith, which is celebrating its world premiere at the current Venice Film Festival.

In the mystery thriller in a historical setting, the story of an experienced investigator (Christian Bale) who investigates a murder and gets help from a detail-obsessed young detective – who later becomes the author Edgar Allan Poe (Harry Melling on “Harry Potter”) will become famous.
