Starfield is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of this year. Bethesda’s first big license in years would arrive in the first half of 2023 without it being known exactly when. The expected information could however be revealed very soon. Here’s when Microsoft would communicate on its next games.
An Xbox Direct by the end of January?
Rumors surrounding Microsoft’s next conference are gaining momentum. Jez Corden from Windows Central went there from her teaser a few days ago and theinsider specializing in green brand news is adding fuel to the fire. According to his sources, a Xbox Direct would be scheduled for January 25 at 9 p.m., French time. The format would therefore be smaller than a traditional presentation and would be closer to what Nintendo does. This new showcase would highlight several home productions from Xbox as well as Bethesda games, which would also broadcast it on its Twitch and YouTube channels.
This Xbox Direct would detail more fully the next major releases of the publisher and obviously only those planned for 2023. Microsoft was indeed seeking to be more transparent on its calendar by giving new information more regularly on its games and not only during events. major events such as E3, the Summer Game Fest or the Game Awards. According to the journalist’s sources, Forza Motorsport, Redfall and Minecraft Legends would be on the program, as well as announcements from Zenimax, no doubt to present future content for The Elder Scrolls Online.
The release date of Starfield could therefore potentially be announced there, but theinsider isn’t ruling out Microsoft keeping the big reveal simmering for a bigger highlight later in the year. That of Redfall, however, seems appropriate and according to other rumors, it could be that the game from Arkane Studios is postponed to May. We should have the end of the story in the coming days whatever happens.
