While the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series is soon to be released on Disney+, screenwriter Michael Waldron has just given some news regarding the future film “ Star Wars produced by Kevin Feige, the big boss of Marvel Studios.
Star Wars: the big screen is desired
At the moment, the universe Star Wars is developed more on Disney+ than on cinema screens. No film has seen the light of day in dark rooms since 2019, the year of the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Since then, fans of Star Wars can console themselves with a multitude of series coming out on Disney+. Between The Mandalorian, The Boba Fett Book, The Bad Batch, and Star Wars Visionsfans of the galaxy far away have plenty to wait for the release of the next film.

On the cinema side, things do not seem to be progressing very quickly. We know that Patty Jenkins is working on Rogue Squadron but, apart from that, there is not much concrete. We also know that Taika Waititi is supposed to direct the movie Star Wars, but the project no longer gives the news. Fortunately, Michael Waldron, the screenwriter of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the series Loki gave him an update on the mysterious film project to be produced by Kevin Feige
From Marvel to Star Wars
In a recent interview with Variety to promote Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessMichael Waldron, therefore, spoke about the future film Star Wars produced by the president of marvel studios. Michael Waldron confirmed that he had started writing the feature film, and said that he felt much freer than on a project like Doctor Strange 2 :
We are finally in the heart of the matter. I am currently writing. This is very fun. I like having the freedom to do something that isn’t necessarily a sequel or a prequel. There are fewer series and films to take into account as there was for Doctor Strange 2. So that’s good. It’s a different exercise.
Also produced by Kathleen Kennedy, this future feature should logically not be related to previous sagas. At the moment, we don’t know anything about the plot, or even if the film will be the start of a new saga or just a unique origin story. To be continued. To wait, fans of the distant galaxy will be able to jump on the series Obi-Wan Kenobi, expected on May 27 on Disney +.
