Yet this is what Limited Run Games with its enormous collector’s item of the long-awaited Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Sold around 300 euros, the monster includes a whole bunch of goodies including a replica of Cal’s lightsaber. But there is a problem.
A collectible Star Wars Jedi Survivor with half saber
The catch is that the 17” lightsaber is really just a bladeless hilt. Yes, if you plan to have the complete object, with its fluorescent blade, generally telescopic, you will have to buy it separately.
As it is, this imposing collector therefore includes the game Star Wars Jedi Survivor in deluxe edition, a steelbook, a numbered certificate of authenticity, a collector’s box to store it all and a perfectly functional replica of Cal’s lightsaber (can we read). Understand by this that the handle must certainly make a little light or play some sounds and be able to unfold a telescopic blade. Funny when you know that the latter is not provided in the pack.
Collectors are hurting us
With a price displayed at 300 euros, many fans were quickly disappointed, and the fact that the collector was incomplete did not help to seduce them, on the contrary. Just take a look at the comments on social media, like here on Redditto see that the pill has a little trouble passing.
An anger that is quite easy to understand insofar as this is not the first time that this kind of collector’s edition poses a problem. Not to mention that these editions are more and more expensive and that some do not even bother to put the games in the package, or distribute the bonuses between different physical and digital editions to such an extent that it is sometimes difficult to find there.
Not long ago, it was the Dead Space Remake collector who was singled out for missing certain digital bonuses, which was quickly rectified. We’ll see if things will change for this too. Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Bad times for collectors, isn’t it?
The game in any case will indeed be released as of March 15, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series and pc
