Announced last night during the Game Awards ceremony, the Star Wars Eclipse game, developed by the French studio Quantic Dream, will take place during the Haute République period. An announcement made with a sumptuous cinematic trailer. Pictures!
Great annual video game mass, the Game Awards, which could be described as the Oscars for video games, was held last night. A privileged event also for many publishers and studios, who take advantage of this showcase to unveil upcoming games, sometimes eagerly awaited.
And THE big announcement of the evening was the reveal of the new game being prepared by the French studio specializing in narrative video games with a cinematographic dimension, Quantic Dream : Star Wars Eclipse !
The title takes place during the so-called High Republic period, nearly two hundred years before the events of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and corresponds to a golden age of the Jedi.
Developed both in the Parisian studios of Quantic but also in the branch located in Montreal, Star Wars: Eclipse does not yet have a release date. Judging from the press release making the announcement, the upcoming title should deepen the vein of branching, choice-and-consequence narrative gameplay, like Detroit: Become Human. Choices that can obviously have a dramatic impact on the unfolding of the story.
This Reveal was accompanied by an absolutely sumptuous Cinematic Trailer, beautiful to cry, that we let you discover below. We will still have to be patient to have the game in our hands. But the atmosphere and the universe are damn envy!
