The War in Ukraine is a disaster for Europe and of course for the many civilians and soldiers who are involved in the conflict. The video game industry, which was quite flourishing in the country, found itself completely turned upside down, like the development of STALKER 2.
Good news from the STALKER 2 team
Due to the war, development of the game had been on hiatus for several months. The time that the GSC Game World team can take shelter (with the families) in Prague in the Czech Republic. Not before 2023
Stalker 2 was supposed to be officially released in December of this year (2022), however, due to the current war in Ukraine, the development will obviously take a lot of delay and it is certain that we will not be able to play it before 2023 minimum .
We obviously hope above all that GSC can ensure the safety of all families and that everyone is safe and sound. The development of a “simple” video game being ultimately insignificant in comparison to human lives.
