


As part of today’s premiere of the sequel film “Tsurune: The First Shot”. announced, that a second season of the series is already in the works and is scheduled to start on Japanese television in January 2023. You can see a first visual further down in the article.

Like its predecessors, the sequel, entitled »Tsurune: Tsunagari no Issha«, is being directed by Takuya Yamamura at Kyoto Animation studio. Yuto Uemura returns as Minato Narumiya and Kensho Ono as Shu Fujiwara in the lead roles. Jun Fukuyama (Yuta in »LoveChunibyo & Other Delusions«) as Eisuke Nikaido completes the voice cast as a new addition.
»Tsurune« is based on a novel by Kotoko Ayano, which won the Kyoto Animation Award in the »Special Judge Award« category in 2016. The first season consists of 13 episodes and aired in Japan between October 2018 and January 2019. The sequel film premiered in Japanese cinemas today, August 19, 2022.
In Germany, the streaming giant Crunchyroll secured the license for the anime and is offering it in the original Japanese language with German subtitles on demand.

Plot:
Minato Narumiya has just arrived at his new high school when he is about to join the archery club. His childhood friends Seiya and Ryohei immediately accept the tutor Tommy-sensei’s offer, but Minato is hesitant at first. Ryohei simply drags him to the club meeting, where he meets two members, Nanao and Kaito. From now on they find out together how archery will enrich their youth…
