Splinter Cell goes free, but not for long

He was one of the tenors of stealth games and he’s about to come back. Splinter Cell will return with a remake at an undetermined date. A project that should allow Ubisoft to relaunch the license that has been forgotten for too long. On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the franchise, the French publisher not only shared the first images of the Splinter Cell Remake but he also made a nice gift to PC players. To mark the occasion, the title that initiated the license becomes free, but not for long.

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Sam Fisher’s first missions, Ubisoft has decided to offer Splinter Cell. Again, this freebie is only for PC players willing to create an account on the Ubisoft Store. Go to the French publisher’s store (at this address) to claim your due. Better not hang around since the game will only be free until November 30 at 4 p.m. It would be silly to miss out on an oversight.

With this new gift, Ubisoft is delighting the most impatient fans who are eagerly awaiting Splinter Cell Remake, while allowing the youngest players to discover the origin of the license. As a reminder, this first episode puts you in the shoes of Sam Fisher, a secret agent from a branch of the NSA: Third Echelon. The man is sent into the field to prevent a global third world war from breaking out, when international tensions and cyber terrorism are at their peak. Sneak in, get intel, and get out without a trace in this free game where stealth is the name of the game.
