“Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is without question the biggest cinema event since ‘Avengers: Endgame” been. Not only did the meeting of Marvel characters from three Spidey universes delight fans and critics (DashFUN gave it an excellent 4.5 stars), but Tom Holland and Co. also provided sensational results at the box office. With grossing $1.9 billion, No Way Home is now the sixth highest-grossing film of all time. In the USA, Canada and other still unknown countries, the MCU hit is now coming back to the cinema – in an extended version called “Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version”.

The re-release was announced on the film’s official Twitter channel:
It’s not quite clear yet where the “More Fun Stuff Version” of “No Way Home” will appear. In the above Twitter post, only the USA and Canada were initially confirmed, but with the note: “More countries will be announced soon!” So hopefully we will soon find out whether Germany is one of them.
According to Sony’s announcement, which was picked up by several US media outlets, the “More Fun Stuff Version” is one Extended Cut of the Marvel hit, in which additional scenes were added and existing scenes were lengthened. However, there are no details as to which scenes are involved. We’ll probably only find out about that in the cinema or – if this longer cut version doesn’t come to Germany in this way – possibly in a home cinema release.

After all, such an extended version is also a good way to boost DVD and Blu-ray sales, which is why we expect that German fans will sooner or later be able to enjoy the “More Fun Stuff Version” at least in this way will.
In North America, the theatrical release is September 2, 2022.
