Doctor Octopus. Electro. Sandman. And the Green Goblin whose look we finally see: Tom Holland has a lot to do on the poster for “Spider-Man – No Way Home”.
It is not yet officially known if Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be in the game. But they would not be too much to lend a hand to Tom Holland, who will face at least four villains in Spider-Man – No Way Home, as recalled by the first poster of the film expected on December 15 in our theaters.
In addition to the metal arms of Doctor Octopus, we notice the lightning bolts of Electro and the sand of Sandman as well as the Green Goblin. While the first trailer had confirmed his presence in the feature film, the big bad shows himself a little more, in an outfit very similar to that worn by Willem Dafoe at Sam Raimi. But which actor is hiding behind the mask?
Logic would obviously want it to be Willem Dafoe. But nothing has been confirmed about that, including after the trailer, which may mean a surprise awaits us. For him as for Sandman, since the name of Thomas Haden Church, who played him in front of Sam Raimi’s camera, is not officially part of the cast.
This can of course be a way of sparing the suspense. But wouldn’t there be a twist? Namely that Peter Parker and Doctor Strange would have upset the multiverse to the point that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be present… but in the guise of villains and not as Spider-Man. At least initially.
Rarely has a Marvel movie raised as many questions as this one, and the answers should arrive anytime soon, as the feature film is slated for release in just over a month. But information could come before: With the Eternals in theaters, Spider-Man – No Way Home will be the next installment in the MCU’s Phase IV, and a trailer may come to remind us very soon.
